Community Law Australia is a campaign led by the National Association of Community Legal Centres, working jointly with the state and territory Community Legal Centre Associations across Australia.
There are around 190 Community Legal Centres (CLCs) across Australia that help over 200,000 people each year.
We believe that all people in Australia should be able to access the law, regardless of their financial or social circumstances, or their geographic location.
Access to legal representation for court and tribunal hearings is only part of the solution. We need far greater investment in programs that provide people with the information and advice they need at an early stage, prevent legal problems from arising or from getting worse, fix problems with our laws, and keep people out of court where possible.
